How to Play

It's easy to play... just follow these simple steps:

If you are not already registered as a User, click here to register with us. You only need to do this once. If you have played any other Select A Stable competition in the last 4 years online, you'll be able to log straight in with your email address and password.

When you log in you'll come to you personalised user home page, select the large Enter Now image or the Select Stables link in the left hand menu.

You will have to give each stable you register a unique name of no more than 25 characters: eg: Ben's Cheltenham Champs.

You will then need to make your selections. Study the horse list which contains 180 intended runners in the Cheltenham Festival 2010 (16-19 March), and then pick 2 x Bankers, 4 x Strong Fancies, 4 x Good Chances and 2 x Outside Chances. Your chosen 12 will score points according to their finishing position and SP in the specified races for the competition. Banker selections will score double points.

HELP MAKING YOUR SELECTIONS

With 12 horses to select from 180 - you have some big decisions to make. Which horses to include in your stable and which ones to leave in the paddock?

For detailed form research you can click on the name of the horse which links to the Racing Post formguide and includes a lifetime form history and latest entry information.

If you want our computer to make your selection - simply hit AUTO-SELECT.

When happy with your selections click ADD STABLE.

If you wish to add more stables, simply select your 12 horses and click ADD STABLE again - online players registering four stables in one session will get a fifth one free of charge ! You can enter Select A Stable as many times as you want, providing your stables are not identical.

Once you are happy with all your stables, select I'VE FINISHED SELECTING MY STABLES - PROCEED.

You will then need to complete your entry by credit or debit card using our secure payment gateways Secure Trading, PayPal or ClickandBuy. The cost is £5 per stable.

Substitutes

There are UNLIMITED horse substitutions available in Select A Cheltenham Stable up to the start of the first race (1.30pm on Tuesday 16 March 2010). No transfers can be made after this deadline. If you discover that one of your horses is an unlikely runner or you want to change a selection, you can make a substitution before the start of the competition (1.30pm on Tuesday 16 March 2010).

When viewing a stable, select 'Make Substitutions' and alter your selections as necessary by using the drop-down boxes.

Remember to CONFIRM your substitutions in order for them to be registered.

Keep an eye on the Select A Cheltenham Stable website, horse list and the Racing Post for news on likely non-runners. The horse list does not contain guaranteed starters. However, it will be updated with news of doubtful runners.
